Rules of Prohibiting Ragging

MAHARASHTRA PROHIBITING OF RAGGING ‘ACT’, 1999
No. Sankrina. 1098/9133/98)/UNI-3. In exercise of the powers-conferred by Sub-Section(2) of section 1 of
the Maharashtra Prohibition of Ragging act, 1999 the Government of Maharashtra hereby appoints the
first day of June 1999 to be the date on which the said act shall come in to force.
By order and in the name of the Governor of Maharashtra.
- It is always necessary to carry the Identity card with him/her.
- It is obligatory for students to show Identity Card if asked by teaching and non-teaching member of
the college.
- Moving in the corridors during class hours is strictly prohibited.
- Any act which will disturb the academic work of the college is strictly banned.
- Any act which leads to damage of the college building and property is banned.
- Strict discipline in the class-room during teaching is to be maintained
- Decent behavior with the teaching, non-teaching staff and girl students is expected.
- Smoking and chewing tobacco in the campus is strictly prohibited.
- Use of mobile phones is strictly prohibited in the college campus.
- In case of difficulties, student should consult respective heads of the departments.
- Student has to follow the rules set by the library.
- Discipline is expected on the ground during sport activities.
- Student has to follow all the instructions given by the concerned teachers during visits for youth
festival, sports events, debate competitions outside the college, industrial visits.
- The students have to park their vehicles in notified parking area on their own risk.
- Student should read the notices displayed on the Notice Board regularly. The college will not be
responsible for any kind of loss due to negligence on part of the students.
- Students should attend their classes as per the division and subjects notified for them.
- Students are not allowed to carry weapons with them. If found, are liable for legal action.
- Any sort of physical and mental torture (ragging) is a crime. In case of any complaint, legal action will
be taken.

Grants of terms:
Admission to each academic year is fresh one. The question of grant of terms will be decided on the basis
of the following factors.

Attendance at lectures & Practical should be minimum 75%.

Regular Submission of tutorials.

Performance in monthly tests, terminal examinations, internal examinations and University Examinations
-
General behavior of the student in the classroom and in the premises of the college.

Payment of full fees and all the dues.
