Library is the most valuable resource of any educational institution. Main aim of the library is to support teaching, learning, research and other academic activities of the institute.


  • Provide information to the maximum number of users.
  • Inculcate reading habit among the students.
  • Encourage students to make maximum use of library resources & services.

Library Collection

The college library has a collection of around 6,000 books. It subscribes to various national, international journals, different type of magazines and daily newspapers; CDs. Library has taken membership of National Digital Library of India, an initiative by HRD Ministry, Govt. of India.

Under graduate students can borrow one book and post graduate students can borrow two books on library card for the period of seven days only.

A student failing to return books issued for home reading on or before the due date will be liable to pay a fine of Rs. 2/ - per day.

Books issued against the Identity Card are for use in the Reading Hall only and must be returned while leaving the library.

Reference Books, Journals, magazines will not be issued outside the library. In case of lost or damage of book, replacement of book of the latest edition has to be made by the user otherwise market price of the book will be charged to the user.

Working hours of the library

Monday to Saturday: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Issue/return Timing

9.30 am to 12.30 am and 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm

  • Inter library loan service : The College Library provides inter library loan facility to its readers to cater to the additional reading needs of its readers. Books are borrowed from RSSP’s Institute of Management & Research library for a short period for students and faculty for reference.
  • Newspaper clipping service.
  • New arrival list is displayed on Notice Board regularly and new books added are displayed in the showcase of the library.
  • A section of the notice board is utilized for alerts on higher education and career.
  • Previous years Question papers and syllabus of all courses are kept in the library for reference of the teachers and students.
  • Earn & Learn Scheme.
  • A suggestion box is kept at the entrance of the library seeking valuable suggestions and recommendations from the readers.

Specialized services

  • Google group is created for staff members to share current updates, important information, and research articles for PhD aspirants
  • To inculcate reading habit among the students, good book reviews by the students and book review columns published in the newspapers are displayed on notice board (Student’s corner). It gives a chance to the readers to understand the books.
  • Scheme of Books for Scholars: The students who secure 1st and 2nd rank in annual examination get two books on library card instead of one regular book.

Activities conducted by Library

Book review competition: This activity was arranged for all students on 12th August 2017 on the occasion of National Librarian’s day. The activity was conducted to inculcate reading habit among them and also to improve their writing and presentation skills.

Reading day celebration

Reading day was celebrated on the occasion of birthday of former President of India and scientist Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam on 13th October 2017. Students read books, drew posters and actively participated.

Best Reader Award

To motivate the students to make use of the library resources & services the college library gives “Best Reader of the Year Award” to the students who make the best possible use of library facilities and spend quality time in the library. The award carries a certificate and a trophy.

Student’s day celebration

Student’s day was celebrated on 7th Nov. 2017 to remember the day when Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar got enrolled in school 117 years back in 1900. Essay writing competition was arranged for junior college students.

Guest lecture on Intellectual Property Rights

Guest lecture on intellectual Property Rights was arranged on 13th Nov. 2017 to make students aware of patents, copyright Act, Trademarks etc. The lecture was delivered by Adv. Ganesh Hingmire, a renowned Intellectual Property Rights expert and Founder & Director of GMGC IPR Services Pvt. Ltd. Adv. Hingmire motivated students for thinking on new ideas, inventions and taking patent for the same. He also advised them to be a good observer and researcher.
